Connected Media is a New Zealand based charitable trust founded in 1993. Our mission is to promote sustainability through media.
There is an urgent need for humanity’s relationship with our planet - and our relationships with each other - to become more respectful and balanced. That is Connected Media’s understanding of what sustainability is all about.
Our part in promoting sustainability is to communicate the important information and ideas through the powerful media of film, television and the Internet – to develop and distribute films about sustainability and, most importantly, to grow a generation of young people who are informed, inspired and empowered both to live sustainably and to communicate sustainability.
Connected Media is a member of New Zealand's Screen Production and Development Association (SPADA), Council for International Development (CID), Sustainable Business Network (SBN) and the New Zealand Association for Environmental Education (NZAEE).
Enviroschools is a nationwide sustainable school programme that supports students to plan, design and implement environmentally sustainable practices throughout their schools and communities.
The programme is supported by a charitable trust, The Enviroschools Foundation, in partnership with over 50 organisations nationwide.
The Global Education Centre (GEC) is part of the Development Resource Centre, Aotearoa New Zealand’s specialist information and education centre focused on development and global issues.
GEC provides services to the formal and non-formal education sectors, and the community sector, on Global Education. There are two sub-programme areas: Schools, and Community Youth.
GEC provides training and resources to teachers, teacher trainees, students, youth workers and community groups, and builds their capacity to include global awareness into their programmes. Through its Youth Advocate, GEC also works directly with young people, facilitating their participation in youth-led global youth work.

“TVNZ 6 and TVNZ 7 are outreaching channels and working in partnerships is key. We are particularly pleased to be in partnership with The Outlook for Someday. The ambitions and purpose of the project fit perfectly with the values of TVNZ 6 as an advertising-free public broadcasting channel.”
